Kando 110 – A Three-Star Yacht For a Top Athlete
Whether they’re famous for being on the silver screen, for having a powerful position in the corporate world, for what they do on stage, or their achievements on the international sports fields, all celebrities have one thing in common: sometimes they just need to get away from it all. And what better way to do this than on superyacht?
NBA star Tony Parker will soon join the ranks of the superyacht-owning celebrities of the world. With his latest acquisition, Parker will have the opportunity to enjoy the freedom the ocean gives him as the owner of a luxurious 35-metre superyacht.
Introducing Superyacht Kando 110
Turkish yacht building yard AvA Yachts announced the sale of Kando 110, which is the second edition of their new custom designed yacht, to the basketball hero to Parker. It was also announced that delivery is due to take place in 2020 when it will be proudly displayed at the annual Cannes Yachting Festival.
Contemporary Style in a Compact and Effective Design
Designed by AvA’s in-house naval architect Atilla Küçükdiker, who is also the chairman and founder of AvA Yachts, the full displacement yacht Kando 110 boasts a robust steel hull, aluminium superstructure and a bulbous bow. It is 33 metres long and 7.8 metres across. The basic interior design includes stainless steel cabinetry and fittings and is designed to be a perfect canvas for the personal touches the client has chosen to personally select.
A Stunning Interior to Compliment a Sleek Exterior
Tony Parker and his wife were actively involved in the process taken to design the interior of the Kando 110. A light and stylish atmosphere will be created with contemporary décor items and top quality fittings. The Kando 110 will have the capacity to comfortably accommodate a total of 12 guests in five luxuriously appointed staterooms, and a double stateroom as a VIP suite. The cabins are located across four decks and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and furnishings that create a soft and indulgent atmosphere. The living quarters for the crew allows a team of seven on-board to take care of guests’ every need. A spacious skylounge on the main deck, as well as space for a six-person built-in spa bath, a saloon and a barbecue area, will offer an ideal space to entertain from. The floor-to-ceiling windows in this large area create a feeling of infinite space.
Cruising Across the Oceans in Style
Driven by top-of-the-range 650hp diesel Volvo-Penta marine engines, the Kando 110 can achieve a top speed of 14 knots. For longer journeys, sticking to a cruising speed of around 10 knots will give the yacht an impressive maximum range of approximately 6,400 nautical miles which will utilise a total of 45,000 litres of fuel in total. The cost of the Kando 110 is rumoured to be in excess of US$7.5 million. Is that too much to pay for the freedom it allows?
