The super-yacht Solandge has become known as one of the finest charter yachts of this decade. It is 85.1m long and every inch of it is expertly designed and constructed. In an elegant collaboration between Dolker & Voges and Rodriguez Interiors, the exceptional interior was crafted with around 50 different types of granite and marble surfaces, and over 30 different kinds of wood. The exterior was designed by Espen Oeino, who used balanced lines and harmonious proportions to encompass an exciting array of dining, entertainment and outdoor living areas, ideal for luxurious long-distance cruises.
Amethyst Walls and Ultra Luxury
Guests on board the Solandge are met by an expansive hall featuring two majestic walls highlighted by back-lit amethyst. This creates an intimate ambiance and sets the tone for the rest of the interior that exudes luxury and absolute elegance. Corridors boast expertly crafted wooden floors flanked by onyx stone inlays in the borders. The ceilings are sumptuously bedecked with gold leaf as the perfect backdrop for stunning Schonbeck chandeliers sparkling with rose quartz crystals and amethyst.
Comfort and Style
The Solandge is an ideal venue for large gatherings, upscale social events and unforgettable parties. It is also built to accommodate overnight guests. Eight large and exceptionally elegant staterooms offer comfortable sleeping chambers for up to 12 guests. The massive main suite includes a private deck and a sumptuous en-suite bathroom and dressing room. The VIP suite can be used as one large room or converted into two spacious cabins, and there are four additional cabins – two doubles and two twins. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms and are beautifully decorated. A further 15 staff cabins can accommodate up to 29 crew members.
Special Features Throughout
The Solandge boasts a beach club area complete with a Jacuzzi, bar and customized dance floor. There is also an on-board health spa with a massage room, gym and sauna, as well as a plunge pool edged with glass. Besides the high-tech communication systems and ultra-modern audio visual equipment, Solandge also has a futuristic zero speed stabilization system. This means that the roll motion effect is drastically reduced and guests on-board the yacht can enjoy a smoother and more enjoyable cruising experience. With a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 18 knots, the Solandge is not only an ideal entertainment vessel, but also a fantastic combination of luxury and performance.
Is Suleyman Kerimov the Lucky Owner of This Luxury Vessel?
Solandge was built by Lurssen in 2013. It was put on the market in 2015 at an asking price of EUR179 million. According to business media sources it was finally sold early in 2017 for EUR155 million – one of the biggest deals brokered this year. While its amenities are public knowledge, things are a little more mysterious behind the scenes. Many have wondered who owns this magnificent yacht, but the answer has yet to be revealed. In mid 2017 reports came out about an ownership deal that was struck between the original owner and SSH Maritime. However, SSH seems to have been no more than a representative of the end buyer who still remains unknown. Who is the mysterious new buyer of the spectacular super-yacht? Well, while we do not have facts we do have rumors. We know that late in 2016 Russian oligarch Suleyman Kerimov made a bid for yacht. Some speculate that his offer was not accepted, though others believe that Kerimov may be the one.
