Robert Moran is an expert yachtsman with many years of experience on the world’s oceans. Through his career a yacht captain he oversaw a variety of new builds and gained invaluable experience in the industry. After a long and successful career, Moran started his own company in 1988 – Moran Yacht & Ship. With operations in Fort Lauderdale, Monaco, Moscow, London and Newport, the company is a thriving entity on an upward trajectory.

Notable collaborations

Lürssen

Moran Yacht & Ship has worked with the master ship building company Lürssen to produce a range of superyachts of which the Palo Alto is the largest at 112 metres long. Designed by Andrew Winch and under construction by Moran Yacht & Ship at Lürssen, the Palo Alto features a resort style spa, 11 lavish state rooms and a 12 metre long pool. Another prominent collaboration between the two companies resulted in the Kismet. Allegedly owned by Fulham FC Chairman Shahid Khan, superyacht Kismet is 95.2 metres in length. The luxurious yacht offers six bedrooms, a helipad, a private sundeck and three decks.

Feadship

Moran Yacht & Ship worked with the Dutch ship building company Feadship on several noteworthy projects, like the Iroquois and the Excellence I. The Iroquois is a motor yacht with an enormous interior that can accommodate ten guests in five staterooms. The yacht features a classic decor style and an impressive selection of toys. Excellence I is a sophisticated yacht with a raised pilothouse and three luxurious teak decks. The ultra-modern stabilisation system and bow thrusters ensure extremely comfortable passage on this sophisticated yacht.

Amels

Moran Yacht & Ship brokered the award-winning Amels superyacht Garcon. The yacht has a patented hull design and is known for being very fast – easily achieving speeds of up to 25 knots. With enormous deck space and a comprehensive range of water toys, the Garcon is a luxurious leisure seeker’s dream space. The two companies also worked together on the AAA, which was built by Moran Yacht & Ship at the Amels yard. The yacht boasts an extended main deck saloon and a helipad above the bridge.

Other successful collaborations have been completed with Westport and Hakvoort.
