A Foiling Revolution is Happening Once a month, sailing enthusiasts from all over gather at Lake Pupuke on New Zealand’s North Shore for some unconventional windsurfing action. Sailors Miraculously Rescued Two experienced sailors, an Irish man Nick Dwyer and his French partner Barbara Heftman had a harrowing experience when they were caught in treacherous seas on a broken yacht. The couple were on their way from New Zealand to Australia when the rudder of the yacht broke. The vessel started rolling when weather conditions changed and they experienced extreme winds and a heavy swell. The sailors activated the emergency radio beacon and waited for help to arrive.
